Park it! Be Autumn-inspired for kids yoga out-of-doors

Before the gorgeous fall foliage drops, pack a picnic lunch, some yoga mats and head to your neighborhood park for an inspiring stretch, care of Mother Nature.

If you're a yoga lover, but not a teacher, get a group of like-minded parents and kids together and hire one for a session or class series.

Check with your local Parks and Recreation department to learn if it offers Kids Yoga, and if not, suggest it as part of their leisure programming.

Slow down and breathe in the awesome colors and smells of the season with the exercise below.

Bird Seal Breath Exercise for Park Yoga

Rest in Child's Pose. Imagine you're a bird set to take flight. Inhale and rise up on to your knees while lifting your arms over your head and touching your palms together. On your exhale, return your arms back down to your sides and rest again in Child's Pose.
