Her day job is yoga – teaching it to vacationers here in Boho style, on retreats and at workshops worldwide, or through her Instagram reflections, which attract over one million fans.
WIN HER BOOK!
Too good to be true? Perhaps, but Rachel Brathen, aka, “Yoga Girl,” didn’t hatch this dream life overnight.
Brathen owns up on pain and surviving trauma in this, her debut book. A child of divorce, her step-father tragically...
died in a plane crash. As a teen, she lived an untamed, self-destructive life – abusing alcohol and lying to her folks.
But her luck turned when her mom sent her to a local
meditation retreat, and Brathen, “learned how to quiet my mind,” she writes, and to
deal with anger. “Oh boy, was I angry. I was angry at my mother for being so
fragile when I was little. I was angry at my father for being distant. I was
angry at myself!”
Newfound peace led to a desire to delve in to yoga, which
became Brathen's calling. She chronicles her off-the-beaten path coming of age in
her new book, along with full-color photos of her in yoga practice mode in
amazing settings throughout, as well as step-by-step asana sequences and easy,
healthful recipes to help you tune in to that inner, higher you.
This yoga goddess is real, and she’s sharing.
